The garden we have created for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016 is inspired by the fact that Crohn's Disease is more often than not a life-threatening disease that mainly affects young people. However, with the right care and medication it is a condition that someone can live with.
The garden has messages about plants, hydration and youth to help engage with visitors and raise awareness of this debilitating disease, the challenges it poses and the research that it is funding to beat it.
The garden aims to engage the visitor through unusual planting that is achievable in a city garden telling a story about Crohn's Disease and how vital and vibrant a young person's life can be even if they have the condition.
The garden will represent at one of the world's greatest flower shows and we have the potential to meet many of the show's 200,000 visitors, to connect with those who need help and those that can help us raise funds.
We are always keen for volunteers to organise and run their own fundraising events for us. If you have an idea for a fundraiaing event, please contact us to discuss how we can help you.
