The official website for Bowel Disease UK

Welcome to our website.

Here you can view what we do and how we do it. Hopefully with your generosity, we can beat Bowel Disease.

Our priority is to purchase an Intra Operative Radiation Machine for patients with Bowel Cancer. Our long term aim is to open a Specialist Bowel Research Unit at St. Georges Hospital, London.

Gary Douch, Chairman

Our 12km Walk 2011 raised £18,052 towards the Intra-Operative Radiation Machine, thank you all so much. See you all again in September!

  • Record numbers turn out for the 12km Walk for Bowel Disease 2011

This years walk saw record numbers decend upon Sheen Gate in Richmond Park for our 6th annual 12km Walk for Bowel Disease. We had families, friends, patients and volunteers help out and also take part in our biggest event of the year.

Amazingly the threat of heavy rain could not dampen spirits and a huge thank you to you all for your superb support including the Bunger Group of 28 who created a real carnival atmosphere!

Next year will be slightly different, you can either run or walk the 12km for BowelDisease! Registration will be £10 and include a t-shirt, medal, certificate and wristband.

I am looking forward to it already!

  • What should I do?

If you think you have a form of Bowel Disease, don't keep it to yourself. Make an appointment to see your GP as soon as possible.

It may well be nothing at all but why take a chance, it could save your life and there is nothing embarrassing about that!

    WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT!

We have had fantastic feedback from this wonderful event at the House of Commons, the service, food and sense of occasion was something to behold.

A huge thank you to Stephen Hammond MP, who kindly hosted the evening.

Truly the best event we have ever held and well done to Maggie and Imogen who combined to create an event that will live with us for many years to come!
